India is one of my favourite countries. I have been there half a dozen times and feel I have only scratched the surface. Every return trip is a new and fascinating experience. I have been told by a number of people that they are concerned about travelling to India independently as it is quite daunting. We now have some small group fixed departures to offer, a little different to the norm, which are the ideal introduction to India – or equally great as a return visit to see something new. These departures are also ideal for solo travellers. Those who have travelled to India with Shellseekers know our local partners are wonderful – they take such good care of our clients (and me!). So maybe now is the time to “virtually” plan a trip to India. Kay Franklin
The vast and intoxicating country of India is one of the most popular destinations for Shellseekers’ clients. This is a combination of many holidays in one. From Kashmir in the Far North, to Tamil Nadu and Kerala in the South, India offers an almost unlimited array of places to visit, cultures to experience, history to discover and nature to delight.
Amongst our favourite destinations are Udaipur, also known as the ‘City of Lakes’, in Rajasthan with its plethora of former Royal Palaces and stunning Lake Palace hotel, and Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, awash with historic buildings and palaces, and fine Indian cuisine. Travelling around such a huge country is simplified by flying, but we recommend a more leisurely experience on one of the luxurious trains that hark back to an elegant and romantic time. Please do get in touch if you are thinking of travelling to India, as it is a country we adore.
The best way is to drop us an enquiry or give us a ring on 01256 882634 to have a chat.
Perfect for all ages and ideal for anyone who is open to the wonder and majesty, the noise and colour, the taste and smell, of this incredible destination.
