Oman

The Sultanate of Oman lies on the South East Coast of the Arabian Peninsula, a mere 7.5 hour flight from the UK. It is the oldest independent state in the Arab World and Sultan Qaboos Bin Said Al Said has been the head of state since 1970.

Oman has a huge amount to offer visitors – making it an excellent destination in our winter. Take some time to explore Oman – including maritime history (you can still see how a traditional Dhow is built), head into the desert for a night under canvas, find unexpected wadis, visit forts and castles, spend time at local markets, learn how to cook traditional food, and head up into the Hajar Mountains from where the view seems to never end.
